Watermelon Layout

Wow.... its been really hot and muggy here in the land of Lincoln. Or should I say Chicago!!!!! With this heat.... I have been staying busy cleaning the house and working from home. Thank goodness for that. But I wanted to enter the Watermelon Challenge Stretch your Imagination at Bitten by the Bug2.  I had to use my Imagination and creativity on this one for sure... because after looking at my Cart's I saw I did not have a Watermelon on any of them.... but I did have a cut that I could use and create an Watermelon.

Using the Independence day Cart I cut the green.... and the red with the half circle cuts.
Using the George I made the Ant's  with a circle cut and a oval cut and glued him together.
Used a Spica black pen for the legs and antenna's.... I had googly eyes that I have been
                  wanting to use as well.

This Layout is for my mother in law.... her Family does a Family picnic every year and has been since 1943 according to my husband. It might be even longer.... but its one big Greek Family Picnic with Baklava and yummies to eat.
