I have admired these awesome Front Doors for a long time, and at our other house our door had stain glass in the front so I was not able to put anything on the front. Which I loved the door I picked it out, but of course I picked it out before the Front door Vinyl started becoming a hit. So I decided that with our new house I wanted to put a cute little Vinyl Welcome on the front. I saw one the other day around here in town and it reminded me how much I liked it, and how awesome it looks. So with the vinyl I already had, Thanks to Hobby Lobby, I was able to use my Silhouette that I have not pulled out since we moved. And started designing away.
1. Got my New Version 3 Silhouette Design software installed.
2. Design the Welcome I wanted. I wasn't sure if I wanted Hello, or Welcome, or The Joneses on the front door but thanks to my Hubby he thought Welcome would be the nice way to go.
I used the Chanel Left Slanted font for this.
3. Pulled out Vinyl and started cutting away, used the Transfer Tape (which is awesome) and was able to apply it to my Front door.
I love the way it turned out and gives everyone a nice little welcome when they walk up, and pull into our drive way.
I think for Halloween , I might do Trick or Treat, and with Christmas maybe Merry Christmas or Season's Greetings, and maybe next Easter do Happy Easter, or He is Risen. But for now I think that Welcome is a good sentiment because we are just getting settled into our new home and getting to know the neighborhood.
