I love Valentines Day, and I look forward to decorating for it, and doing cards for it all year long, because to me its a reminder of love in our lives, not just romantic, but friendship, and family, and the love of ourselves. Plus it is an anniversary for me and my husband of when we first starting dating. So I always am excited to see that day come and put a smile a face on the ones that we love.
As soon as Christmas was over I started thinking about my different cards I was going to make. I make a bunch and donate them to the church for others to enjoy. Kind of my own ministry of my own.
With the help of my Silhouette, and the Valentine Lips cutting file, this card was made possible. I wanted to make a shape card, so I welded the card together, and made this cute little lip smacking card.
Recipe: Red Recollections Card stock, Zebra Printed Recollections Card stock, Hobby Lobby Red, and Black ribbon, Tim Holtz idea-ology label letters ( I love these), ivory card stock, and a touch of Color Box red on the tag to give it a pop, along with Michaels glitter dot stickers.
I did add a touch of white Gel Pen on this to give it a little more pizazz, and Tim Holtz Distress Markers Red Barn to make the lines for the lips.
I am entering this into three different challenges, Including:
Ribbon Carousel..... Anything Goes
D.L. Art...................Anything Goes
Pile it on ................. P is for polka dot paper
Hope that everyone has a great New Years, and that is safe on this holiday. With having two little ones we will make it a movie night and just hang out here, and enjoy the night in the warmth of our home. Happy New Year!
