Happy New Year to you and I hope that you all enjoy the beautiful year, we are having a mini blizzard here in Chicagoland, area, let me tell you it started at 3 p.m. yesterday and been going strong here at 10:45 in the morning New Years Day. Enjoy.
A few months ago I was at the local Savers here by me, and found the wood letter J in plain white. With having the Last name Jones, I had to get this and do something fun with it.
So it started out plain and simple, and I wanted it to be a little mod podgey with different colors of paper, luckily while organizing my paper stash the other day, I found the paper I wanted to use, and it would make it so much more simple and easy.
I used Fancy Pants Designs - The Good Life stack, and some buttons from my stash, with ribbon, a Color Box red ink to edge the sides to give some dimension.
The finished product ended up being just what I had imagined, and I already have it hanging in my front door way, so its there when you walk into our house.

I love how the paper looks like an old newspaper, and shows different elements then just one basic design. Plus it goes really well with my Buttercream walls!
Have a great week Crafting!
